When we needed a strong opposition party to stand firm against the Bush/Republican attack on American ideals and the constitution, the Democrats cowered in the corner afraid of their own shadows. Now that they are in the majority, they are still cowering.
They look only at their own narrow interests and not at what's best for the country. They are cowards in the classic sense and should hide their heads in shame.
Not all are spineless and craven, just most. Russ Feingold stands up. But by and large, the Dems are a real world example of a Solomon Asch conformity experiment. They're politicians heavily invested in the prevailing opinions of others no matter how erroneous. They're also beholden to the military industrial media complex - MIMcompoops all.
Saltpeter in the Perrier furnished at the House Commissary and scrupulously avoided by the Republican on ground that "It's French."
