Karl Rove Loses Arm To Shredder

Washington, D.C. - The White House today announced that chief political adviser Karl Rove lost an arm in a freak accident while shredding boxes of documents in his office. Rove, who will be leaving his post at the end of the month, was apparently using his last few weeks at the White House to take care of his backlog of subpoenaed e-mails and documents when the mishap occurred.

Rove Denied Medical Coverage

Karl Rove, White House political adviser, was denied medical coverage after the severing his arm in an accident. Mr. Rove, who recently announced his imminent retirement from his post, was destroying documents when his right arm became entangled in the paper shredder. According to witnesses although Mr. Rove screamed in pain and shouted for assistance all the competent civil servants in the area had been replaced by those sharing Mr. Rove's political agenda and current employees were unsure what to do. Finally, Secretary Condaleeza Rice, who was passing down the hall, noted the commotion and pulled the plug of the shredder from the wall.

Dr. Morton Ostrowsky of the Federal Employees Heath Management Organization said that the denial of the claim was based on "the fact that is is well-known that Mr. Rove has been actively shredding the Constitution since at least 2000. 'Shredder arm' is a pre-existing condition."

Karl,
Get your head down real close to the shredder and see if you can see your arm pieces. That's it, get a little closer. Now closer. A little more. OOPS ;)
